Why would I need an intruder alarm to protect my home?
According to latest figures from The Home Office Crime Statistics data, there were over 100,000 domestic burglaries ina 3 month period, with nearly 35,000 in the North West alone. That’s an average of 8 houses burgled every 10 minutes nationally, and 1 house burgled every 10 minutes in the North West.
The question should be ‘Why wouldn't I need an alarm to protect my home?’
Also, some insurance policies require that you have an alarm system installed and maintained at your home or they may not pay out in the event of a claim. Top

What intruder alarm system do I need to protect my home?
Your minimum system will comprise of a central control panel to control the system, a remote keypad for setting/unsetting and using the menus, an internal and external sounder with strobe for signaling alarms, and a number of detection devices to detect intruders. Top

What will it cost?
As each system is designed and installed specifically to meet your needs, it is very difficult to give a ‘rough idea’ of how much your system will cost. The level of protection you choose will determine the final cost. Top

What kind of system do I need?
Alarms do not have to be difficult to use. A recent survey by the British Security Industry Association found that 90% of people asked, found their alarm easy to set and 92% of people asked were satisfied with their alarm. Domestic intruder alarms can be as simple or sophisticated as your needs require. Our preferred range of quality control equipment offers you a choice of sets for night time, perimeter, detached garages, etc. along with multiple user codes, event logs and various other useful functions. I have a pet. Is that a problem?
No. You do not need to restrict the movements of your pets when you set your alarm. We can design and install your system with ‘pet-friendly’ sensors that ‘ignore’ pets, and can provide Vibration detectors to the perimeter of your home for extra protection and prevention of false alarms. Top

What else can it do?
Many additions can be made to your alarm system. Smoke detectors, Heat detectors, Vibration detectors, Audio detectors, Panic buttons, to name but a few, can all enhance the safety and security of your home. Your system is also capable of controlling other equipment in your home such as lights, security cameras, etc.
Our monitored systems can also inform you or a keyholder of any activations or faults from equipment linked to it, such as mains supply, freezers, boilers, etc. Top

What is a monitored system?
Our monitored systems give you the option to notify your mobile phone, your nominated keyholders, or our keyholder Response Service of activations and faults. If your alarm activates, it sends a signal to the ARC (Alarm Receiving Center) who then determine the reason for the activation and take the appropriate action. If your Smoke or Heat detector have activated, the ARC will telephone the premises and check if it’s a genuine alarm. If there is no reply or if you confirm a fire, the Fire Brigade will be immediately notified and dispatched.
If a Panic or Intruder signal causes an activation, you and/or your nominated keyholders would be notified. Alternatively a keyholder would be dispatched immediately to investigate, with our keyholder Response Service.Top

What is your keyholder Response Service?
Our Keyholder Response Service gives you total peace of mind 24 hours a day, all year round. Whether you’re out at work, at home in bed or on holiday abroad, you know your home is safe. If your alarm activates and a keyholder is required, they will be immediately dispatched to your premises, determine the source of the activation and inform the Police if necessary. They will remain onsite until the alarm has been reset and the premises are secure, including the arranging of smashed windows to be boarded/replaced, etc. if necessary. Top
